Correct Breather Tube Positioning

Would someone please describe the correct positioning of the breather tube relative to the bottom of the cowling (on a 235)? Not sure if it should extend slightly below, be flush with or slightly above the bottom of the cowling. It seems to me that where the breather runs across the firewall, it should be slightly downhill to facilitate run off of its contents, but to accomplish that, the tube would have to extend slightly beyond the cowling. [I have a vague recollection that Ron Brown addressed this quite some time ago in the old forum, but I do not remember his advice].
Thanks
Tom
