Annual/Pre-buy

Well, I'm headed to see my hopefully, new (to Me) 1975 235 all opened up on Wednesday. (Bringing my IA with me!) I have a couple of questions. How long does an annual usually take on a 235? (Should have started today.) Can a JPI EDM 830 replace the factory EGT guage? Is there a benefit to the EDM 830 over the older EDM 700? I'm a little worried about panel space for the larger 830. Thanks for all the information on this site!
